Apple Fritters With Pazzaz Apples
This post is sponsored by Pazazz Apples and Honeybear Brands. All opinions are my own.
I’m so excited to partner with Pazazz Apples to bring you one of my favorite dessert recipes of all time… Apple Fritters! Pazazz Apples are a cross between the Honeycrisp and a mystery pollinator. They’re called the jolly rancher of apples because of their explosive flavor and extra crunch! The best part about these apples is that they’re in season. They taste best between the months of December and June.
Did you know that a diet rich in fiber, such as apples, can help lower the risk of cancer? Pazazz Apples have teamed up with the American Institute For Cancer Research to fight cancer! February is National Cancer Awareness Month and if you upload a photo of you eating a fiber-rich superfood to HERE, Pazazz will donate $1 to AICR. Additionally, you can text PAZ to 797979 to generate a $1 donation.
Let’s get started with this delicious recipe!
Apple Fritters
These easy Apple Fritters are such a fun recipe! They take dessert to the next level and are fool proof.
Ingredients
For The Fritters
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- pinch salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2-3 cups Pazazz apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- Vegetable oil for frying
For The Glaze
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 4 tsp milk
Instructions
For The Fritters
-
Begin by filling a frying pan with oil and heat over medium - low, or until 375. While oil is heating, start mixing your ingredients.
-
Mix together the baking powder, flour, cinnamon for the fritters, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a separate bowl, mix together the apples and lemon juice.
-
In the bowl of a mixer, mix together the sugar and eggs on medium speed until fully combined. Add in the flour mixture in two parts. Mix on low. Slowly add the milk while still mixing.
-
Fold in the apples.
-
Using an ice cream scoop, drop the batter into the frying oil and fry on each side until golden brown. They go pretty quick, so be careful!
-
Transfer to a rack to let the vegetable oil drip off.
For The Frosting
-
Mix together powdering sugar and cinnamon. Slowly add milk until it’s a glaze consistency. We topped the fritters with the glaze, a little powdered sugar, and extra cinnamon. Enjoy!
