Virgin Voyages Cruise Review

Our 5 Favorite Things About Our Virgin Voyages Trip

In November, we went on our first ever cruise. We’ve always enjoyed exploring and not having a plan while traveling, so the thought of going on a cruise was a bit daunting. It was a new type of travel for us. While we went into the experience thinking that there was no way we could be “cruise people,” our minds were changed by the end of our 5 day voyage with Virgin Voyages. The ship was beautiful and full of amenities. We were able to stop at a couple destinations that we’ve never been to before. Here are 5 of our favorite things that we experienced on our Virgin Voyages Cruise.

  1. The Food

These ships are known for their all inclusive restaurants and food options… and we were not disappointed. We’ve been to all inclusive resorts where the food is not great, but this was not the case here. Everything from the Korean BBQ spot, to the steak house, to the upscale Mexican restaurant was all included on this ship. We were able to try every single restaurant and enjoyed all of the options. Our favorite restaurant was the Test Kitchen, an experimental coursed dinner that made us feel as if we were at a 5 star restaurant.

2. The activities

If you’re the type of person that likes to always be on the go, you’ll never be bored on a Virgin Voyages Cruise. There was trivia, drag bingo, cooking classes, work out classes, and more. We tried at least one activity every day and had the best time getting to know other cruisers.

3. No kids

If you’re looking for an adults-only vacation, this is it. It’s perfect for a bachelorette party, honeymoon, or just a romantic getaway. A lot of the entertainment was definitely adult driven and we loved it.

4. The rooms & the view

When we first decided to go on this trip, we thought that the rooms were going to be cramped, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only were the rooms spacious, but the views from the balcony were gorgeous. The amenities in the rooms such as the iPad that controlled everything from lighting to the curtains were topnotch.

5. The entertainment

We loved the shows on this boat. We went to a couple different performances and we were not disappointed. We recommend booking the shows as soon as you step on board, because they can get booked up quick!
