Spinach Artichoke Dip with Merkt’s Spreadable Cheddar

This spinach artichoke dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer that combines the creamy richness of Merkt’s spreadable cheddar with the gooey goodness of mozzarella. The addition of spinach and artichoke adds a flavorful and nutritious twist, making it a perfect for the Big Game. Ingredients

  • - 1 10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and excess water squeezed out
  • - 1 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • - 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • - 1/2 cup Merkt’s spreadable cheddar cheese
  • - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • - 1/2 cup sour cream
  • - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • - 2 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • - Sliced baguette pita chips, or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Merkt’s spreadable cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  5. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  6. Serve the spinach artichoke dip with sliced baguette, pita chips, or tortilla chips for dipping.
