Pasta With Spicy Vodka Sauce

  • 1 package of pasta
  • 1 and 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 of a red onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp italian seasonings
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup of vodka
  • splash of pasta water
  • parmesan cheese optional, for finishing


  1. Cook your pasta in salted water and set aside, reserving some of the pasta water.

  2. Add olive oil to a pan and heat over medium heat.

  3. Add tomatoes, salt, and onions.

  4. Once tomatos are blisted and onions have softened, add garlic, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasonings. Cook until fragrant.

  5. Add vodka, cook out the alcohol for three minutes.

  6. Add heavy cream. Once bubbling, add to a blender and pulse on low.

  7. Once blended, add back to the pan. Add splash of pasta water, and your pasta.

  8. Cook for three additional minutes.

  9. Serve topped with parmesan cheese and enjoy.
