Bacon wrapped avocado slices

This healthy and protein packed snack has a kick of heat and is a great option for a weekday side or an appetizer for any party or event.

  • 2 avocados
  • 1 packaged bacon stretched and sliced in thirds
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 package tooth picks for serving


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Cut avocados into small slices and separate them from their skins

  3. Cover the avocados with the garlic powder

  4. Stretch the bacon and cut each slice into 3 or 4 equal pieces

  5. Wrap the avocados with slices of bacon - make sure the crease of the bacon is on the bottom of the pan, not allowing it to unwrap

  6. Place evenly on baking sheet

  7. Apply cumin, chili powder and cayenne pepper to wrapped avocado slices

  8. Place in oven for 15 minutes.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
